This is a compensated review by BlogHer and Arm & Hammer.

We happen to have a HE front loader & I just used a cap full! Trust me, as a mom of three year old quadruplets who get into EVERYTHING dirty I should know! So needless to say we do MANY loads of laundry in this household! I really like this product especially when you want to get your clothes clean & bright PLUS you do not have to use a ton of detergent in your washer! With the economy struggling every cent saved is well worth it!
The types of stains that they always seem to get is either from chocolate milk, dirt or now KETCHUP! You can tell in my pictures that they wiped it all over their shirts. Oh My! I told you they LOVE to get dirty! Some mothers would just throw the shirts out and not even attempt to clean it or use some other product that just does NOT do the job!
But NO I just put some of the Arm & Hammer PLUS Oxi Clean with POWER gel on the stains & then threw it into the wash with all our other clothes, I of course added some more into the detergent dispenser for the rest of the load & then let it do it's magic! When a cleaning product does it's job and takes the stains out I am one happy mommy!
I cannot tell you how many times I fill our washing machine up like the picture above! Filled up with DIRTY clothes! That is why I am SO psyched to have found a quality product that keeps our clothes clean! Even better it keeps our whites WHITE! Having the added benefit of getting more use out of their clothes we have gives me the warm & fuzzies! That in itself makes all the difference in the world!
Check out their shirts AFTER washing them with Arm & Hammer PLUS Oxi Clean with POWER gel! They are SO darn clean you would never even know that they had an encounter with a bottle of ketchup would you? They also smell good too! I just LOVE that!
I would LOVE to know what outdoor activity causes you the biggest problems with your laundry! Do your kids get so dirty you do not think they could ever get clean? Just post me a comment sharing your laundry woes & you could be a winner of a $200 VISA gift card! Just think of all the cleaning products you could buy with that! With 2.5 yr old quadruplets ANYTHING and everything we do outside makes us messy! It's always a good time though!

I enjoyed reading your review as well as looking at the stained clothes: makes me feel normal!! With a 5 year old boy and 3 year old twin girls, we have our fair share of stains around here!! But as Jen B. said, it is always a good time!!
ReplyDelete~Holly K.
My boys LOVE to play in the dirt and mud outside and I always worry that I won't be able to get their clothes fully clean.
ReplyDeletemami2jcn at gmail dot com
Wow I should only have to wash my clothes once a month or so with that stuff!
ReplyDeleteI love the pics that you posted, such lil cuties! I'd love to try this detergent. My biggest laundry problem is getting food stains out, ahem ;) Also makeup out of my work clothes. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteshevilkenevil1 at aol dot com
Grass stains are the worst. They get very ground in and are hard to remove.
ReplyDeleteWow! Those pics are amazing. I might need to get me some of this. :)I don't think I can pick just one activity. So many cause me grief - soccer, riding bikes, playing in the grass - and then the inside ones - cooking is the worst (and then of course, eating!)
ReplyDeleteOur newest outside "gettin dirty" thing to do iS....playing in the dirt, or might I say DIGGING in the dirt. I will definatly be grabbing a bottle of this and giving it a shot on our stains! GREAT REVIEW
ReplyDeletemy kids are magnets for food stains, dirt, and grime
ReplyDeleteMy biggest laundry challenge is actually from my husband's outdoor bootcamp workouts! Grass, mud, dirt, sweat...yuck!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great review and awesome giveaway!!! :)

I have a 20 month old son who is learning to use his eating utensils and that is my biggest mess maker.
ReplyDeleteGreat review girl!
ReplyDeleteMUD is my biggest issue in this house!

my kids like to "dip" like there's no tomorrow! unfortunately, all the dip (ketchup, BBQ sauce, ranch) ends up on their sleeves and shirts and i'm developing carpal tunnel as a result of spraying all their clothes with a pre-treater! With 4 two year olds and 2 adults in the house, my trigger finger is SORE!
ReplyDeleteNice review, Cathy........
Great review! I read it earlier this week on my iPhone, but kept forgetting to come back and comment. Our biggest issue is spit up! Even on our clothes it's ridiculous, but I'll definitely give this stuff a try! The arm and hammer we have is different so I'm excited to try it out!
ReplyDeleteI don't have kids, but can still make a mess myself! I like to cook and eat and something often spills or splatters and needs a quick clean-up. I've been wondering about all the different Oxi type cleaners and haven't noticed this Arm & Hammer Power Gel before. Looks like it gets the job done! Great review!
ReplyDeletethanks for doing this review! grass stains are the worst for me and my family
ReplyDeleteI love going barefoot in summer, but when it's not summer I still go around in sock feet. And I don't hesitate to go outside in my socks. Getting them clean isn't easy!
ReplyDeleteContractor, traveling man with 5 pets, car mechanic, horse care specialist, and me (I love to walk around in socks)...enough said! :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I have 2 teens and one 5 year old. Out behind the chicken pens, we have a littel race track where they ride their 4wheeler and the dirt bike. You can't imagine the mud that covers them from head to toe after a ride. There usually isn't a square inch that isn't covered with dirt spatter. Getting that much mud and muck on their clothes almost guarantees the garments won't becoming clean. Would love to have something that can take on those tough stains.
ReplyDeleteBoth of my kids are dirt and food magnets. My 19 month old daughter loves smearing food on herself from head to toe, and my son can find a mud puddle a mile away.
ReplyDeleteCourageousMother
spring softball practice brings dual challenge of mud and grass stains.
ReplyDeleteI'm the magnet for stains...cooking, spit up, you name it...I have it! haha
ReplyDeleteI love oxiclean so I'll have to try this! Our biggest stains are dirt and butter. I butter all their food for the extra fat but its the worst stainer ever! Great job on your first review.
ReplyDeleteSports dirt -- grass stains, baseball dirt, etc . . though food is a close second
ReplyDeleteGreat review! I'll have to try this b/c it seems like I've tried all kinds of pre-treaters & still have to wash some spots at least twice (a HUGE Grr.. for me!). Thanks, Cathy!
ReplyDeleteHaving two teenagers and lots of sport-related clothing is where it gets complicated...
ReplyDeleteGrass stains from baseball practice are giving me fits right now! Think I will have to try this product!
ReplyDeleteKathleen
I'm with Gen...in this house, it's mud, mud, mud & more mud!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat review! Stains, stians and more stains in this house! Mud and strawberries are our biggest stains! Of course not together!
ReplyDeleteEnjoying food outdoors is my biggest outdoor stain nemesis :-)
ReplyDeleteMy little man is discovering dirt now and I am now distraught with clay and dirt and mud now on his clothes. Daddy thinks it is fun to encourage him to take a bath in the clay. I saw this stuff and wondered if it worked good. Thanks for the review.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest laundry woe = an almost 2-year-old. Ha ha. I can't wait to try this detergent. kiki(at)hantla(dot)com Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHow and why boys get grass stains ALL the time is a mystery to me. Are they always sliding in the grass? That is by far my biggest laundry challenge! mrsmcrain(at)yahoo(dot)com
ReplyDeleteWhen it rains, the chicken yard is soupy poo and boy does that make for some ripe laundry. Gotta try this stuff. Diane
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to try it!! Trust me when I tell you that there are plenty of stains in my house. Glad to know that others share this problem.
ReplyDeleteThree boys who like to roll around in the grass and red clay mud. Fun.
ReplyDeleteOutdoor hikes and walks - the mud and the dust make such a mess!

I'm a runner so I always have pit-stain issues to deal with! Gross!
ReplyDeleteMy worst laundry challenges are my son’s clothes period- football, grass stains, food stains, marker, grease, paint, etc…. My husband’s work clothes, and on days when my second grader’s create art projects are a close second! - Lisa
ReplyDeletebsadler (AT) wideopenwest (DOT) com
The worst challenges around my house tend to be food spills and drips, with an occasional grass stain and lots of dirt.
ReplyDeleteI live in Georgia and the Red Georgia clay is a real laundry challenge

I have a three year old son that LOVES to wipe his dirty hands on his clothes. This owuld be great!
ReplyDeleteauflag (at) yahoo (dot) com
I hate dirty stains too, especially grease stains from cooking, I need to wear my apron more! Your girls are too cute too!
ReplyDeleteWe love to garden and by the end of the day, we are covered in muddy, messy dirt, from head to toe. On the way back into the house we strip down and all clothes go right into the wash.
ReplyDeleteI live in NYC so I walk a lot to get to and from places. When it's rainy, the bottom of my pants or jeans get soaked and sometimes very dirty!
ReplyDeleteMy son loves to color, paint and write on his blackboard. He is covered in art supplies every night! I NEVER get it ALL out. I will be trying this product!! AWESOME review! thanks!!
ReplyDeleteEmily@slausa.com
The girls get so dirty on the playground. As long as its not raining right then, they are outside no matter how much mud there is.
ReplyDeleteSome of my hardest things to get out is when my husband starts planting and taking care of his garden!I love everything we get from it,but BOY! His clothes looks like he's been playing in mud!
ReplyDeletewe go hiking so we tend to get mud on the clothes or stains from eating snacks upright. additionally, we all play soccer so you can imagine that mess! haha
ReplyDeletedreamzz12{at}Aol{dot}com
My daughter loves mud puddles. It is messy. She loves it but her clothes never seem clean fo long. It rains a lot where we are at we live in NC.
ReplyDeletejeanette_huston@yahoo.com
The outdoor activity that causes me the biggest problems are the grass and mud stains from our clothes after gardening.
ReplyDeleteIf I didn't know better, I'd swear that my boys were half terrier -- they LOVE to dig - so mud and grass stains are my #1 problem. dilem.mamaATgmail.com
ReplyDeleteMY biggest laundry problem is grass and pit stains!
ReplyDeletepittsy82@hotmail.com
hiking and soccer are the worst ones stains to get out
ReplyDeleteMy laundry woes actually come from the biggest kid of all...my husband. While my four children give him a run for the money..my husband can't seem to remember to change into grunge clothes before attempting any outdoor projects and has subsequently ruined almost every decent t-shirt he owns.
ReplyDeleteMr. Frugal feels it necessary to change the oil in our cars himself...just like he did yesterday. Yes, that's him on a normal weekend underneath his truck on his back in our driveway changing the oil. While most of the used oil ends up in old gallon milk jugs on our garage shelf (Mr. Frugal is often lazy when it comes to disposal of old oil)..quite a bit of it also ends up on his t-shirts.
You'll find me, chained to the washing machine in the basement concocting potions out of laundry soap, pre-treater, water, vinegar, lemon juice, or baking soda and scrubbing his t-shirts with an old toothbrush (although I've often dreamed of grabbing his new one from our bathroom) and muttering obscenities under my breath while I scrub out the stains.
Thanks for the opportunity to vent...you probably saved his life today.
My husband & son love working on anything with an engine in it. Automtive stains are incredibly difficult to get out.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest problem is grass stains from playing with my dog! scg00387 at yahoo dot com
ReplyDeleteMy biggest woe is dirty football uniforms.
ReplyDeleterhoneygtn at yahoo dot com
I hate getting my daughters play make-up off of her clothes. Always a constant battle. So dress-up leads to disaster in most cases :)
ReplyDeleteMy biggest laundry woes are during the summer when the kids really get into their baseball games. They bring home so much infield dirt, I wonder if there is any left at the park!
ReplyDeleteMy only real laundry woe is that I don't put my darks in the dryer, so occasionally I will wash all my work clothes and then realize that anything I could possible want to wear to work is hanging up damp in the shower.
ReplyDeletelizriz217 AT earthlink DOT net
worst outdoor stains are from yard and garden work, grass and dirt
ReplyDeleteMy number one outdoor-related laundry problem is the clothes that came home from backpacking trips. Definitely have a stench after having been worn for a week.
ReplyDeleteMy laundry woes are grass, food and mud stains that kids got over their clothes!
ReplyDeleteMy worst laundry woes comes from food stains. If I can catch them right away and pretreat them, it helps a lot; if I miss them and they set, it poses a real problem
ReplyDeletemy number one outdoor-related laundry woe would be grass stains....ugh
ReplyDeletebluegirl1423 at gmail dot com
I hate getting blood out of laundry - outdoor fun sometimes leads to scraped knees and elbows, it's just a fact of life.
ReplyDeletemjharvey26 (at) yahoo (dot) com
Mud and Grass are my worse outdoor messes
ReplyDeletePit stains for sure
ReplyDeleteFor me it's dirt/mud stains
ReplyDeleteseanm1999 at hotmail dot com
Grass stains or oil/grease stains from the car are the worst
ReplyDeleteGrass and mud stains are the worst! Thanks for the chance to try this detergent!
ReplyDeletebj_texan@yahoo.com
My kids are grown and gone, but my biggest laundry problem as an empty nester are the knees of jeans that we wear when outside doing gardening and lawn work. Somehow we get SO dirty doing that!
ReplyDeleteGardening!
ReplyDeleteMy sons like to work on cars and motorcycles, so we have lots of oil and grease stains.
ReplyDeletejedoggett@embarqmail.com
Oh, the green, green, grass of
ReplyDeleteSTAINS!
We love to rough-house with our dog outside, so the muddy paw prints do us in!
ReplyDeleteurchiken at gmail dot com
art supplies from my 8 year old. They're everywhere on his clothes! amiedanny@msn.com
ReplyDeleteI love to free hand paint onto any surface and I paint and sell items to so even though I try the wear just certain clothes for painting I seem to get the paint on everything so I'm always having to pre treat to soak to get it out and arm & hammer power jel always does the job for me, thanks
ReplyDeletesewitupjulie at gmail dot com
My son likes to play in the mud, but he knows he shouldn't. So he'll hide his muddy and grass-stained pants in the closet or under his bed so the stains are REALLY set in by the time I find them.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter can find anything outside to get dirty...mud, grass, chalk, dirt. You name, she has found it. And it has left a large stain!
ReplyDeleteMy biggest laundry challenge? Hubby's gardening clothes!
ReplyDeleteI have 3 boys so pretty much every activity produces a mess on some article of clothing :) I'm gonna have to give this a try!
ReplyDeletejillk77 at aol dot com
Thank you for the giveaway. Playing outside in the grass, playing at the lake in the dirt! And, when working in the meat processing plant, you can only imagine my clothes at the end of the day.
ReplyDeletegrass stains are impossible
ReplyDeleteDeodorant stains are my laundry bane. Pretreating helps but...
ReplyDeleteWe get pretty dirty while working in the garden!
ReplyDeleteGetting out in the garden has brought new laundry challenges!
ReplyDeletemowing the lawn or playing soccer
ReplyDeleteMy laundry woes are dirt and grass stains. The family loves being out in the garden but it is tough on the clothes
ReplyDeleteHubby's garden clothes are the worst!! Count me in.
ReplyDeleteMy boys love gardening with me and they are really hands on an get down in the dirt so dealing with dirt stained knees is always a huge challenge.
ReplyDeletelisalmg25 at gmail dot com
Well my mother in law has a 106 acre farm.Well my husband, son and daughter love to take their red Honda three-wheeler and dirt bikes thru the mud and swamps. Of course, to them-the muddier it is-the more "fun" ;) which makes for horrendously muddy clothes :
ReplyDeleteaunteegem@yahoo.com
SAND! It sticks to everything and causes most of my laundry nightmares.
ReplyDeleteDirty bottoms!!! Oh I mean the seat of the trio's shorts:)I think they sit down in everything and I feel like all's I do is scrub the seat of their shorts...
ReplyDeleteI've recently started a garden and digging in the dirt can make some serious stains. Add to that that the dog likes to "help" by digging in the dirt, getting nice and muddy, then jumping on me!
ReplyDeletea muddy dog is my biggest laundry challenge, she can get everything muddy pretty darn quick!
ReplyDeleteFor me it would be gardening hands down. I always come in with a grass green bum! LOL

There are so many stains! haha But one of my biggest is just plain dirt! I am always working in my gardens, both flower and veggie/fruit, and our earth here is like clay orange and just stains everything!
ReplyDeleteScott
nynekats at aol dot com
My worst laundry nightmare is red clay on socks, jeans, shirts and everything else!
ReplyDeleteMy biggest one is my husband's fishing clothes. You haven't seen stains until you've seen his jeans after a round of tuna fishing! I will spare you the details, but it's gross & smelly! Tough to get out (especially the smell).
ReplyDeleteI guess it's a toss up between my sons soccer playing and my playing out in the flower beds. But I think soccer has the edge.
ReplyDeleteewalsh40(at)gmail(dot)com
My son has special needs and has limited feeling in his mouth. This leads to incredibly messy eating and even more incredible messes on his clothing, and tableclothes, and napkins, and anything in the near vicinity!
ReplyDeletesweepyhead at gmail dot com
My 2 1/2 year old son makes a bee line right for my potted plants as soon as we go outside. It is a guarantee he will be dirty in no time and I will be treating his laundry for stains.
ReplyDeleteMy laundry woes are grass, spaghetti sauce stains and mud stains that kids get over their clothes!
ReplyDeleteshopgurl101 AT gmail DOT com
My three and five year old love to jump in mud. There are also those great grass stains to get out. Should i go on with the popsicles, chocolate syrup and markers? Laundry is a tough subject, and here i thought Algebra was.
ReplyDeleteI think picnicking and playing frisbee cause me the biggest problems... at least with regards to outdoor activities. Oh yea... and there's sidewalk chalk, skinned knees, etc. :)

ReplyDeleteMine is grass stains on the knees from weeding. Thanks for the contest. (wasn't logged in to blogher when I clicked the link before and want to make sure it counts)
ReplyDeleteMy biggest problem right now is my son's baseball practices. He loves to slide into base, and his clothes show it.
ReplyDeleteajolly1456 at gmail dot com
Probably my biggest laundry woe comes from the aftermath of enjoying a pasta dinner. Marinara sauce is quite stubborn.
ReplyDeleterunningmatey at hotmail dot com
My biggest outdoor activity that causes laundry woes would be exercising! Gotta hate those stinky sweat stains!
ReplyDeletemammabear06 at gmail dot com
I am extremely angry at your Arm & Hammer Plus Oxy Clean product & will advise everyone I know NOT to waste their money & purchase it! There's little wonder "why" it's cheaper to buy than other laundry detergents--it takes twice as much to use per load, so it's actually not a money saver! THUMBS DOWN!!!
